Ford’s Garage Revs Up New Restaurant in Utica

Service station-themed eatery brings its burgers, beer and nostalgia to Macomb County

UTICA, Mich. (June 24, 2025) – Ford’s Garage, where diners fuel up on mouthwatering burgers, craft beer and American comfort food served with a side of nostalgia, opened its newest Michigan location at 12575 Hall Road. Located in the Golden Corridor – Macomb County’s premier shopping and dining destination – the 7,989-square-foot restaurant is owned by Ford’s Garage President Billy Downs, a franchisee since 2017.

Ford’s Garage delivers a high-octane dining experience with its innovative menu, standout hospitality and car-themed décor. It’s the only restaurant brand officially licensed to use the iconic Ford Motor Company logo and memorabilia. Guests are immersed in classic Americana with vintage vehicles, car-part fixtures, and charming details like servers in mechanic shirts and shop towels for napkins. A Model A car suspended above the bar and a roaring engine ambiance complete the experience.

“We’re proud to open our third location to meet the demand for a Ford’s Garage in Macomb County,” said Downs, who also owns locations in Dearborn and Novi and plans continued expansion across Michigan. “There’s strong local loyalty to the Ford Motor Company brand. Guests come for the fun atmosphere, stay for the food and hospitality and keep coming back for that unbeatable combo.”

The menu centers around Black Angus burgers, loaded with premium toppings, specialty cheeses and signature sauces, all served on artisan buns branded with the Ford’s Garage logo. Fan-favorites include the Burgers of Fame, inspired by local heroes and community icons. Each burger is also available with bison, chicken, turkey, or veggie patties.

“One of my favorite burgers is the American Standard,” said Downs. “It’s everything you want in a classic burger: premium beef, American cheese, crisp lettuce, tomato, red onion and pickle planks on a brioche bun.”

Guests can start their engines with appetizers like Edsel’s Soft Pretzels, Famous Firestone Shrimp and the Jumbo Piston Onion Rings. Comfort food classics include Mama Ford’s Homemade Meatloaf and Fish ‘N Chips, along with lighter fare like fresh salads, grilled chicken, and various seafood options. For a sweet way to end the meal, the restaurant offers several dessert standouts, including old-fashioned milkshakes, a Brookie Sundae and the Caramel Apple Cookie Skillet.

Diners can top off their meal with one of a wide range of beers – emphasizing local brews – or several wine, cocktail and non-alcoholic options.

Downs, in addition to leading Ford’s Garage, is a seasoned restaurateur, former chairman of the Michigan Restaurant and Lodging Association and a multi-sport athlete and triathlete.

“I started this journey with Ford’s Garage because it offered a rare opportunity to team up with an iconic brand and a one-of-a-kind concept,” said Downs. “I’m passionate about hospitality and love helping create unforgettable dining experiences.”
