Ford’s Garage Starts Engine at New Restaurant in Avon, Indiana

Situated just minutes from the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the service station-themed eatery serves burgers, brews, and nostalgia.

Ford’s Garage, the burger-and-beer hotspot where guests fuel up on hearty American eats amid nostalgic décor inspired by a 1920s-style service station, has opened its newest location at 10416 E. U.S. Highway 36 in Avon’s Shiloh Crossing shopping center. The 7,300-square-foot restaurant is the fifth location owned by the Tin Lizzie Restaurant Group – Avon is Tin Lizzie’s second Indiana location, in addition to two Ohio locations and one Kentucky location.

So, what’s under the hood? Bold flavors and a full-throttle dining experience. Ford’s Garage is the only restaurant brand officially licensed to use Ford Motor Company’s iconic logo and memorabilia. Inside, guests are surrounded by vintage vehicles, car-themed fixtures, and nods to classic Americana. From the honking Model A car suspended above the bar to servers in mechanic shirts and shop towels used as napkins, every element is designed to deliver an immersive, high-octane experience.

When you come to Ford’s Garage, you’re getting more than a meal. It’s an experience, and we’re thrilled to be just a short drive from the world-famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway. We’re the perfect pit stop for fans headed to or from the track.

“We’re pumped to open our fifth Ford’s Garage location, where it’s all about fun, energy, excitement and most of all, people,” said Sam Tancredi, Tin Lizzie Operating Partner. “When you come to Ford’s Garage, you’re getting more than a meal. It’s an experience, and we’re thrilled to be just a short drive from the world-famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway. We’re the perfect pit stop for fans headed to or from the track.”

Tancredi, a former longtime franchisee with Outback Steakhouse and Bonefish Grill, is a partner in Tin Lizzie Restaurants along with Mike McGuigan (co-founder of Ford’s Garage), Mark Delrose (development partner), and Richard Norris (vice president of operations). The group’s success with its other Ford’s Garage locations spurred continued expansion. “We’ve been very successful with the first four, so we decided to keep going,” said Tancredi. “We’re a great team.”

Menu Highlights

At the heart of the menu: juicy Black Angus burgers stacked with premium toppings, aged cheeses and signature sauces on artisan buns branded with the Ford’s Garage logo. Tancredi recommends the Estate Burger, featuring a 1/2LB black angus patty with smoked gouda cheese, sweet red onion marmalade, arugula, tomato, crispy onion straws, and white truffle bacon aioli on a brioche bun.

The satisfying selection includes the specialty Burgers of Fame, named after local heroes and community icons. Each burger is also available in one of four beef alternatives, including bison, chicken, turkey and veggie patties.

Guests can start their engines with appetizers like Edsel’s Soft Pretzels, Famous Firestone Shrimp, or the Jumbo Piston of Onion Rings. Comfort food classics include Mama Ford’s Homemade Meatloaf and Fish ‘N Chips, along with lighter fare like fresh salads, grilled chicken and various seafood options. For a sweet way to end the meal, the restaurant offers several dessert standouts, including old-fashioned milkshakes, a Brookie Sundae and the Caramel Apple Cookie Skillet.

To drink, Ford’s Garage serves a wide range of beers, with an emphasis on local craft beers –alongside wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic options.

Ford’s Garage Avon seats 240 guests in the dining room, and is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 AM to 10 PM and Friday and Saturday from 11 AM to 11 PM.
